We are pleased to announce that as part of our Information Security initiatives Elevate BC has become Cyber Essentials certified.

Elevate BC is one of the Wales’ leading independent business consultancies, specialising in  leadership training, executive coaching & mentoring, and business consultancy.

The Cyber Essentials scheme aims to help organisations implement basic levels of protection against cyber attack, demonstrating to their customers that they take cyber security seriously.

To pass the accreditation Elevate BC were required to complete a Cyber Essentials Questionnaire covering the five basic controls within Cyber Essentials. Those five were chosen because, when properly implemented, they will help to protect against unskilled internet-based attackers using commodity capabilities – which are freely available on the internet. The five controls are:

  • Secure configuration
  • Access control
  • Malware protection
  • Patch management
